‘We are saddened this was a child,’ says family of retired Chicago firefighter after 15-year-old boy charged in fatal attempted carjacking

A 15-year-old boy is facing a first-degree murder charge after Chicago police say he was identified as one of three carjackers who fired shots at a 65-year-old retired firefighter leaving his favorite popcorn shop earlier this month.
