Chicago area snow totals shy of forecast, but storm not letting up and winter storm warning still on for city, DuPage and Lake counties

The National Weather Service expected 5 to 8 inches of snow in the Chicago area from a system that hit much of the Midwest. The snowfall didn't come as quickly as expected, but forecasters remained confident in their predictions.
