Work underway to fill sinkholes and stabilize parts of the lakefront on the South Side as first major storm of the season strikes

Work has started near the South Shore Cultural Center, where sinkholes have developed, and Arthur Ashe Beach Park off East 74th Street, where the sidewalk is in trouble, the Park District said.
